1990 intervec Chevy Falcon 170

I have a friend with a Falcon 170, in the compartment with the water tank is a location for a second battery, one red wire and two red wires. A second friend is suggesting hooking one of the black wires along with the red wire to the positive side of the battery because of the corrosion is identical. Can anyone shine any light on this? QUICKLY???
  • You mean one black and 2 red?
    or
    2 black and one red
can you trace the single wire to ground?
  • Two black wires. I can trace the one to ground and the other to what appears to be the ECU.
  • Just to clarify, the one of the two black writes goes to ground.
  • I wouldn't connect a black and red to the positive post without checking the black wire's function. You know the one black wire that is continuous to ground is not going to be connected to the battery positive.
