1992 Newmar Kountry Star

I have a 1992 Newmar Kountry Star RV that is having some problems. It starts easily but within a minute or two, the check engine light comes on, then the engine dies. Have replaced the MAF sensor and the throttle position sensor. Also replaced the pickup coil in the distributor.

I have been unable to locate the diagnostic port, to see why the check engine light is coming on.

Anyone have any idea where they hid the diagnostic port on this thing?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Not for a 1996 PowerStroke.

If you want to split hairs I don't think that engine was named as a powerstroke until the 98 model year even though it was a 7.3. My former PSD was built in very early 1997 but still titled as a 98. My 98 24V Cummins did have an OBD2 diag port. I don't remember if the 98 PSD did.
You are correct that diesel engines did not have the same emission standards at that time that the gassers did. Now they have far worse standards.

Larry I assume the OBD1 on a Ford is similar to the OBD1 on the Chevy chassis. I have a Chevy, the codes are retrieved by shorting out A and B connections with a paper clip and watching the flashing check engine light on the dashboard. Look under the dash on the drivers side. Probably black plastic with a plastic cover over it. Google Ford OBD1 codes and they will tell you what each means based on the number of flashes.
