Cummins just sent me this after asking them the same question (these generators have a separate battery? Where would it be?:
Back to basics.
The "truck" has it's own battery.....just like any vehicle.
The "house" has a different set of batteries. Those batteries also start the generator.
The two batteries are tied together ONLY when the truck is running.......which will charge both sets of batteries.
The two sets of batteries are NOT tied together when the truck is OFF.......unless you have a momentary "emergency" switch to manually connect them together.
The condition you are describing now is a classic case of house batteries that are going bad....or are not being charged often enough.....or both.
Any RV service center can help explain this to you better, test both sets of batteries and show you where your house ones are located.
