Yes positively absolutely. That IS the problem......either the battery itself going bad OR it not being charged enough often enough.
I think people here have been trying to say that for several days now.
If everything is working right, the house battery (gen start battery) should charge some:
Any time you are plugged into shore power.
Any time the truck engine is running.
Any time the generator is running.
There also should be a switch to completely disconnect that house battery when the RV is not being used. That helps keep the battery from discharging.....but will not prevent it completely....as they lose some charge just sitting there.
Some nice folks here have a link to "the 12 V side of life"; hopefully one of them will add it to this thread for you.
I don't have it handy.
You REALLY should read it......and get a multi-meter if you don't have one already.
