Paid for one of those over $200 about 10 years ago.
Perfect ice maker for party (used it at home as well) but you need to learn how that thing works.
It takes water from big tank, freeze the ice rings on cooling pins and drops into the tray above water tank.
When you fill up 80F water, the rings will melt in the seconds, but next tray of ice rings follow in couple of minutes and slowly whole maker will get cooler and cooler, so at some point the ice rings will stay in the tray for long time before they melt.
The ice has 32F temperature all the time, so not the best for coolers, but perfect for drinks.
Give it about 2 hr head start and you will like it.
