What I’ve learned to love most about the LFP, is how casual I can now be about my impulse to recharge it…Considering our daily usage and average harvest, the SOC tends to stay within a very usable range, say between a lower to high range of somewhere between about 35-90% SOC (then to discontinue solar), while voltage remains practically flat…
I did have to start the Honda one evening near Sacto after running the air from the battery for about an hour (compressor constant!)…Haven’t cell-balanced in a few weeks (and running…), and when at home I simply disconnect and leave it within this same range …Quite naturally, habits will change a bit per seasons…The Sacto trip (HOT - ugg!) finally incentivized me to get off my duff and figure out how to get the Honda 2200 to run while in the eco mode, finding afterwards that the glitch was with the uber-sensitive ‘pass-thru’ inverter…Moving forward, a new inverter output bypass circuit and ATS makes eco happen - dang (dummy me!!), why didn’t I just think of this earlier!!
Disclaimer: This is just my own ‘hands-on’ experience, as I don’t in anyway claim to attest to the real-world experiences of others :)
