How many batteries? Hopefully four+ and over 400 amp hours.
Does the inverter give an error message? Most are suspecting low voltage but these Xantrex are not bullet proof.
Or put your small voltmeter on the inverter terminals and read input voltage as someone else turns on the microwave. You are looking for 11.0+ and closer to 12.0 is better with a large load.
OOOO (4/0) is larger than O (1/0) wire. Google cross sectional mills or price to confirm.
1/0 might be OK depending on length. 8' is too long.
I have 2 12 volt agm 31 group batts, each at 100 amp hr as to what is said on batts.
No error message it just shuts off when running microwave.
I am also starting to think its just to small of a invertor, I have just found out that my 1000 watt micro is just cooking power and that it might draw as much as 1600 watts when running plus another 350 watts also running in the background such as the 2 TV's, ruko boxes and clock, fridge, etc, etc.
No the TV's are not on but its just that ghost electric drain that modern flat screens draw while even off plus the ruko boxes, power antenna, switch board on fridge, etc, etc.
That right there adds up to 1950 watts drawing from a 2000 watt invertor, maybe a larger invertor in the future, for now the generator will have to do during dry camping when micro wave cooking..
