But the Hub/Rotor has to come off to change it. Ford corrected that in 2008, sensor can be changed from behind the brake.
Looking for this, a couple comments looked like splicing didn't work.
But let me offer this: I had our ABS Sensors disconnected and ran the engine before plugging them back. Doggone Fault Code! But I drove it a ways and the light went away. So that tells me you might splice, think it didn't work, then find out after a bit that it actually did.
NOTE: These differ Left Front and Right Front. Photo is LEFT. I did not look into the Rear Sensors.
SRS Airbag? I can only guess. That guess is that an ABS Fault Code was set and needs to be cleared with a specialized Code Tool. I am led to believe that Scanners which diagnose Service Engine Soon/Check Engine Lights will not display or clear ABS codes. The better ones may.
