$25 Water Pump

It's a spot sprayer pump. Typically found on a 14 or 15 gallon spot sprayer, made for killing weeds. Both Flojet and Shurflo (as well many other companies)build them by the thousands. Very inexpensive throw away pump.

It's there on the nose- you can see the terminals sticking up. The wiring has connections for it, but they are not hooked up.

I'm going to bet this is surplus out of some sort of device, but other than no mounting feet, it looks a lot like this Flojet, but then looking around Amazon, there are a ton of small pumps that look just like this- medog, Amarine, and Seaflow (love the Chinese names). Note the medog is rated at 116 psi (!)

I have been using an 120VAC electric pump I salvaged from my old washing machine that recently went belly up... It works great as a portable pump for me transferring water but being 120VAC I have to plug it in somewhere...

I always have an inverter around to run it so no big deal... having a 12VDC version pump is probably a better idea however...

Might be better than those cheap portable ones you find at WALMART in their boat section...

Flo Jet is very much still "in business" but like Shur Flo they seemingly manufacture 999 different models of pumps. There's one that "looks" like an RV pump but puts out 7.8 gallons/minute at 100 lbs pressure. That would give one hell of a massage shower all right.

Look at the size of the motor. My pump is about 3" dia x 4" long. That one is half the size. I bet I can pee faster that the output of that pump.

I'll bet that's the same pump that came on my "BlueBoy"
The company (forget name) is outta business, (has been for years) there is no warranty, and no parts available.
Mine leaks badly, no way to fix it. But nothing that 60 bucks don't fiz.

I have one similar. Too similar. One gallon per minute. Fifteen seconds of holding a button for a large glass of water. Fifteen seconds sounds piddly. Try holding a 32 fluid oz glass for 15 seconds while it's filling. Roughly the same fill rate as a 5-gallon water cooler operating by gravity.

The NO LOAD of a standard Shur Flo is nearly 1.2 amperes

This gizmo has 3/8" ports. The Shur Flo has 1/2" barbed fittings.

Yah, I'd be careful with that one. Don't know the gpm, and those fittings look non-standard. And, as said, what's up with the no-load draw??
