27DCs and SG Lag Problems

I had the same issue in another thread when wanderer helped me with my old sears dumb charger. Trying to desulfate with 10 amps @15.3 volts.
The SG stopped rising at 1.260-1.265 or so. And thats was 8+8+4 hours on that charger different days..
I talked/asked about SG lag with no definatives.
So checking the water levels a few days ago and SG levels before we got hit with the 3rd nor'easter I was surprised to see the SG in all cells above the 1.275 mark.
And this has been with the batts mostly floating after my desulfate project @ 13.2 volts.
Since its been cold I go in and hit the button to get it to 13.6 for the said 30hrs per progressive dyn.
Again every 21 hours is a 15 min EQ @ 14.4..
So was there lag of the SG? I would think so.
