Overcharging is one little thing. K's chargers may be unsuitable, although most standard chargers can be used with care. (The care being the fussy part)
No worse or better than regular batts which are also fussy in their own way, but why learn new ways when you don't have to? We already know how to do the fussy stuff with regular batts and K is good at that. Up to him if he wants to go the LFP route--he is over 21.
