Yes keep the charge rate under .5 because it can actually charge that fast unlike lead-acid.
I thought fast charge was good?
Yes the LFP needs to stay above freezing or the BMS will automatically shut it down to protect. Unlike lead-acid that goes ahead and freezes and is wrecked. Heater or warm compartment works fine.
Yea don't cycle below 15% because with lead-acid the discharge should stop at 50% or even sooner.
Yes no need to float the LFP. That is a feature. Lead-acid starts to sulfate.
Once the charging system is set properly there is no 100% float and maybe just charge to 97%. Unlike Lead-acid where top voltage needs to be applied for a few hours at 100% or that sulfating thing is setting in again.
Just turn the generator off a couple hours early because 80% 90% 97% whatever random charge is just fine.
And when the RV gets home no need to top charge, equalize or water the cells.
Peukert induced lower capacity in lead-acid virtually does not exist For LFP.
The higher operating voltage gives about 10% more watt-hours of energy for the same amp/hour rating.
The reduced voltage sag will not have the inverter shutting down prematurely.
Get a smart LFP and the charge level can be read on the phone app along with discharge or charge rate, temperature etc.

OK, one at a time...
Yes. Fast is good.
Don't fully charged and especially floated LA batteries resist freezing?
Lithium definitely wins the deep cycle round.
As mentioned before... shutting the float off may not be an option.
Ditto already mentioned.
Yes. No push to run the generator longer than one feels like with Li.
Yes. Get home, plug 'er in and crack a coldie. But then there's the over-float concern again
Agreed on Peukert
Interesting regarding the higher operating voltage. I'm gonna' have to read through that link of yours
Definitely like the idea of no inverter alarms
They don't give those smart units away, but at least it's an option for those with deep pockets
You make a good case. Thanks!
