OK, one at a time...
Yes. Fast is good.
Don't fully charged and especially floated LA batteries resist freezing?
Lithium definitely wins the deep cycle round.
As mentioned before... shutting the float off may not be an option.
Ditto already mentioned.
Yes. No push to run the generator longer than one feels like with Li.
Yes. Get home, plug 'er in and crack a coldie. But then there's the over-float concern again
Agreed on Peukert
Interesting regarding the higher operating voltage. I'm gonna' have to read through that link of yours
Definitely like the idea of no inverter alarms
They don't give those smart units away, but at least it's an option for those with deep pockets
You make a good case. Thanks!

If that battery is in use going to 50% discharge the freezing temperature is more like 5F. PT and that -40 could be in trouble if off grid.
Float does not have to be shut off. 13.2 - 13.4 indefinitely is perfectly fine. Maybe even lower.
Yes that microwave will pull a flooded down to 12.0 volts and dropping while the LFP is holding 13.2-13.4 very steady.
I found self assembly to be a fun project and saved a bunch of money.
