Agreed.
150ft of 10 AWG has about 0.3ohm resistance. at 30 A that's about a 10V drop, so that's IMHO starting to push the limits. especially if voltage is low to start with. now add a few tenths for contac resistance. getting marginal. The other thing it is even more likely to give trouble with is starting loads for things like a AC. 50LRA now gives you 15V drop. so now your in double trouble, low voltage and high LRA trying to start a motor. NOT a good condition.
But if the loads are low not much of an issue.
