I installed the SurgeGuard 30amp protector prior to a 64 day camping trip into Mexico. Mexican voltage is all over the place and the SurgeGuard worked perfectly. And it's the model with LED lights, no digital readout and it cost well of $100. Sorry I don't have the model # with me.
Almost every camper has a surge protector in the Mexican campgrounds - most were exterior, not hardwired, and I had a chance to see the voltage readouts on some of them. Over 133 volts and all of them tripped - nobody had power.
With the exterior models, there's a chance that it could grow legs and disappear unless you fashion a locking device.
