yes, it would possible to overload its 2500w 20A rating.
Supply protects itself.
don't know what has to do with the adapter exceeding it rating without the 30A breaker tripping.
where is this 20A breaker? the appliance is plugged into the adapter, or more than one appliance. Dutch above has the scenario correct.
