If it works as described, would bump up the amps a bit.
First: Odds are it will not work as described, What it will do is trip the 20 amp GFCI outlet's GFCI..
Second if he plugged one trailer into the 20 amp outlet using a 30-20 adapter (NOT THIS THING) that should work the same
The unit you show feeds 30 amp to one leg and 20 to the other, it does not combine them. Here is why
Imagine a box wired like this
L-1---TT-30--Neutral---20 amp--L2
If you combined them that would = a 240 volt Dead Short.
