I don't have a inverter that can run the AC or even the microwave at this point. I use the 8-d as a inverter bank and even with the solar boosting it, I don't think the power is there. I'd add battery but have no room.
About the only thing that I can think of would be to adapt a smaller AC unit somehow. Big enough to cool the rig yet small enough to run off of the 3100i. There again it's another piece of gear to be stored.
With that concept, how many watts do the smaller window AC units use? I think I could use three of my panels tracking to produce over 600w / roughly 50a to boost the 8-d and run a small unit for a while as long as I had the light.
