I agree with not running the AC or other "heavy users". Because you're having to use such a long extension cord, I would say invest in a 30 amp extension cord and then put a dogbone adapter (Royb's first image) at the 15 amp end. That gives you the larger gauge wire for as long as possible reducing the chance of overheating the cord itself.
For long term, I would recommend having a dedicated 30 amp outlet added close to the RV's parking place. 80ft is a long way and you're better off having that distance via actual wiring than an extension cord. And if you go with a 30 amp outlet, you won't have to worry about what you turn on.
