Please keep us updated. I paid $900 for my Champion and my neighbor just bought his first TT and loves the Champion I bought, but is a ways from affording it. If this $600 generator keeps up, I'll point him to it. As far as noise....the Champion side by side with the Honda is only slightly louder. At a kw more output, we love it. Not knocking the poster or the Honda, db levels aside, there are reasons that we're discussing other brands, $$$.
Hopefully, these quality inverter generators coming down in price will grab the attention of Honda and Kawasaki and bring their prices down to earth. As far as eco mode goes, I've yet to use that setting on the Champion. If I find myself out on a cool night and just need enough power to run the TV and Satellite, it might do. Just haven't found a use as of yet.
