Aluminium oxidize more than copper. Most of European houses are wired with aluminium as the price difference is significant.
But in Europe they mostly use connectors with screws clamping the wires, while wire nuts twisted over 2 different metals do dirty tricks.
Just months ago I had new 200 amp service line run to my house. Aluminium crimped to copper wire in drop line.
