The spec wire is tin coated rope stranded copper.
The eBay wire is copper plated aluminum and is far more flexible than the spec wire which isn't really that stiff.
The mandatory (these days)BUZZWORD for genuine copper wire is
OXYGEN FREE COPPER OFC
The copper plated aluminum wire can be successfully soldered using 60/40 PbSn solder and rosin flux.
Maybe someone can make this voodoo mumbo jumbo images linkage work. I sure can't.
