460 watt solar setup: wire sizes?
I want to change out my old 50 watt panel and 10 amp controller with at least one and hopefully two 230 watt 24 volt panels and whatever controller would be best. Right now the roof on my fifth wheel ...

MEX, how much is lost for having a full battery?
Does it matter if the battery is full at 1:10pm or 1:20pm?
We are talking about 2% loss vs 1% loss.
What about the losses during absorption? If you have 400w available and can only get 200w into the battery.... #2 wire will make no difference.
Everyone knows a 5w panel does about nothing and that is the amount being lost for going with existing sealed, mounted, secured, connected #10 vs buying, pulling, securing, sealing some #6.
That is the math.
This is not a grid tie system where every watt harvested can reduce your utility bill.
Now I need to get a Tylenol for myself ;)
