I still don't understand "diversion load." When the batts are near full and the solar is able to put out more amps than that due to the sun still being high etc, then you can run any load you want and it will not "come out of" the battery's SOC.
So the only reason to have "load terminals" on the controller might be to have a timer with it in the controller you can program. ( In case you forgot to bring a clock or you broke your watch?)
So IMO it is bogus to say a controller is superior if it has a "diversion load" feature. IMO that feature would be bogus.
