Testing for solar with battery charging plus load and no load.
Reached absorption stage at 14.6v showing 18.2 amps on Trimetric, -10.1 AH (not sure how well "zeroed" that is, but at some high SOC anyway) Absorption is supposed to last two hours with this controller
Amps quickly dropped off so I ran the test with Tri showing 14.4v now, 11.9a and turned on an 8 amp load (laptop and TV) thinking this was within the solar max amps.
Tri did a momentary wobble in amps and volts, then settled back at what it was at before load turned on--14.4/11.9ish (and still tapering)
So somebody must be running that 8 amp load :), and no change in battery charging amps.
Confirmation test:
No load--14.4v, 8.1a
Turn on loaded inverter--14.4v, 7.9a( still tapering in absorption)
Trimetric shows net amps. We have the -8 amp load and +8 amps of solar to run that cancelling, leaving the battery charging amps showing as the net amps
