50 AMP connector

I am looking for a 50 Amp female connector to plug into my RV. I have looked at several but mechanically they don't fit. Marinco seems to manufacture them but seem awfully expensive. Are there alternatives? (I have 50 AMP wire).

If its the end that the shorepower cord plugs into, its a 50 amp receptacle (female).
We're all guessing at what the OP is looking for.
Either way, any electrical supply shop will have it.
No we're not. OP specifically said "female".

If you are talking about the connector that plugs onto the INLET on the RV.. Marinco is your only source far as I know, Check with Marinas as these are marine grade devices.

The one on the sticks and bricks end of the cord (or power pedistal or post) that one is common.
  • If you have a 50 amp twist lock power inlet on the trailer, you're married to the same twist lock female on your cord. EBay seemed to have the best pricing on the connections when I was hunting for them.
  • The 50A plug is a standard household plug available at hardware stores. Generally these are for indoor usage while the more expensive ones are better suited for outdoor usage.
  • Should be able to find them on-line easy enough. Also any electrical supply house.
