120 volts between ground and neutral is very much NOT NORMAL, in fact it should be impossible
Are you sure you were measuring from NEUTRAL (Top center) to Ground (Bottom center,round or U-Shaped) The voltage between them should be zero on a mains connected outlet.. In some cases (Running on RV Generator) 60 will show up on a high impedance meter (zero on a low inpedeance meter) but on the park outlet it should always be zero.
