But, if both a neutral and a hot, say hot 2 is also hot (instead of hot 1 and hot 2 being hot) then:
From hot 1 to neutral would be 120 VAC
BUT, from hot 2 to neutral (now hot) would either be zero or 240 VAC -- with 240 being the reading if the box did have the "proper" two hots from the CG main box.
