Utilities like to keep their systems a little high so when conditions cause the customers to draw more then normal loads the voltage does not drop too low. 125/250 volts by the time it gets to a customers device is well within specs. With our hot weather and ACs running my voltage is still at 122 volts. Normal in my house is 126-128 with out furnace or AC running.
People get confused about 50 amp RV systems. They are a standard 120/240 four wire system. Exactly the same as most range circuits in a stick house.
30 amp RV finally got recognized by NEMA back I believe in the early 80s. It got a NEMA designation even though it doesn't follow their normal numbering system.
