50 amp to 30 amp service

Have a tt w/30 amp service if i use a dogbone adapter 30-50 amp will it hurt my 30 amp panel in my trailer? park we're in just updated all electric to 50 amp. we are permanent here & need to use the 20 & 30 amp plugs for water heater & florida room, hope I explained this right. Thanks for any & all replies
  • The only thing not protected is the 30 amp wiring between the pedestal and the 30 amp breaker in your trailer. If one of those wires become chaffed and short to ground the 50 amp breaker should trip, but only if the draw were above 50 amp. I am sure this scenario is very unlikely.
  • Using a dog bone adapter to connect your 30 amp TT to the 50amp outlet will not hurt anything. Your TT will still be protected by the 30 amp main breaker in the TT panel.
