Most hardware stores will have brass in assorted bolt sizes, If you need a stud and nut affair and can not fine one buy a bolt that is too long and slice it off with a Dremel or other high speed metal cutter Run the nut on from the original end and off the cut end, put the cut end into the block.
But you should find Brass most everywhere.
