IMO it is significant that the battery voltage would not go above 30.3 while the controller was in Bulk set to 31v I think the Vmp was up as high as it could get and stalled there. The controller would not go into Float because it had not reached the Vbs yet so it was stuck in Bulk.
That is why I lowered the Vabs setting to 29.6, so the battery voltage would get to that in Bulk (which it was seen to have done ok) and then be able to go into Float, having reached Vabs
This controller spends no time in Absorb. It drops to Float as soon as it gets to Vabs in Bulk. If you want to do absorption at a high voltage, you have to pick a high Float voltage setting.
