Be aware that the size of your battery bank should play a part in your decision of what size inverter to buy. A 600 watt inverter at its full rating will draw 50 plus amps. If you have a single battery, it will be down to 50% in less than one hour. If only drawing less than 300W, a 300W inverter will be more efficient than the 600W inverter.
Many modern inverters have dynamic load control, if you are only drawing say 100watts, the total power consumption will be similar.
