I often do work in the RV where I want the 12v on but it is colder than the thermostat goes down to, so I am looking at some on/off method if the thermostat does not have one.
EDIT--I don't mind if it stays on till temp is reached, but I want it to then stay off for a time until a lower temp is reached which triggers it to come back on, without getting too far down before coming back on. Something reasonable.
I replaced the stock bimetal thermo in my Coachmen with this simple, non-programmable Honeywell RTH5100B Digital Thermostat and although it can be wired for both heat & cool I use it to control just the furnace as my A/C is direct blow. I chose this particular model because the back lit screen makes it easy to see, it controls furnace operation really well, and yes, a single button push turns if off completely. :B
Sold at Home Depot Canada.
