I just bought a Dowson Dash Cam on Amazon for just under $20 about a month ago. So far (a couple weekend trips,etc) it has worked BETTER than expected for that money! I just put an old 2g SD card in it - set the cycle for 5 min segments. I get four 5-min clips on the card before it overwrites the 1st one, etc. Figure if I capture something I want to keep I'll just pop out that card and put in another one until I copy it on to my laptop. This way I have 15 minutes to swap cards... obviously longer if I used a bigger capacity card, by my older laptop doesn't alway like to read big cards... Am considering getting a second one for my daily driver. I've missed photos several times in the past of interesting things I see pop up on the road while I'm driving - this should solve that. So far already captured a black bear sow and cub run across in front of us, and also a whitetail and her fawn! Not "National Geographic" quality video, but for $20...! ST
