I'm now looking at the DVR207GS for the front.
A rear dash cam is good in a rear-ender because if the driver claimed you backed into them, you can show the judge the fact that the rig was stopped, then the other person's vehicle coming to play. It also is good to prove someone was tailgating or otherwise driving recklessly.
It is insane what people do these days. Having a camera can conclusively prove someone's guilt or innocence which would normally be a he-said/she-said fight.
