Thanks Bill, it doesn't use a USB cable nor connection, but rather a small diameter "pin" plug into the Camera and a cigarette plug on the other end.
Additionally, the problem exists when I operate on the camera's internal battery.
Well, based on the suggestion, Bill, I put some tinfoil around the 12 Volt cigarette lighter plug on the included power cord.
Problem cleared up, apparently.
I'll do a little more experimenting - I'll remove the tinfoil around the camera and determine if the problem really is the plug.
I have never opened the plug, but as it is 12 Volts from the socket, I assume there is a step down of voltage for the camera... is there a diode or such inside that reasonably might cause an EMI issue????
