A Simpler Explanation Of The Measurement Of ONE JOULE

Passing one amp through one ohm of resistance in one second.

This means passing of power to earth ground (AC) or chassis negative (DC)

    My DH's ICD is set to 30 joules the first hit. 5 wasn't enough, but 30 does the trick. Course, it's inside with the wires directly in the heart.

    I love modern technology.

  • One Watt = one Joule/sec. I visualize an old 100W incandescent bulb as 100 J/sec. That comes in handy when people start talking about 100 KW lasers and such.
