Science Fiction without much Science. I guess that's a lot like Historical Fiction. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerThe e book universe are rife with doomsday scenarios of atomic EMP and mass coronal ejection end-of-life-as-we-know-it calamities.

My DH's ICD is set to 30 joules the first hit. 5 wasn't enough, but 30 does the trick. Course, it's inside with the wires directly in the heart.
I love modern technology.

- agesilausExplorer IIIOne Watt = one Joule/sec. I visualize an old 100W incandescent bulb as 100 J/sec. That comes in handy when people start talking about 100 KW lasers and such.
- ktmrfsExplorer IIyup, 1 joule= 1 watt-second
or 1 WH= 3600 joules
