Since there is a proposed change in codes for 2020, the 2017 information linked to does not really apply.
I just wonder how the experts figure how air conditioners running inefficiently on low voltage is somehow better that those running on the correct voltage. I guess it is better for everyone to suffer damage equally. The whole notion about Peter robbing Paul was debunked years ago.
