So sorry about your accident, and glad you were not hurt badly.
I have to disagree about what you are calling air "bombs." I've never heard of anyone being seriously injured by one, IF that person was also wearing a seat belt. I know of many people who have been saved from serious injury by the air bags in their cars, especially in T-bone accidents.
