A/C and heater problem

Question

I just recently purchased a 2000 coachman leprechaun 313QB it has a newer dometic roof unit model is I believe R410A. It has the digital thermostat and the factory heater unit.. Well my problem is when I turn the heat on the a/c comes on to and blows ice  cold while the heater is nice and hot.. How do I fix the a/c from coming on when my heater is on?  I can do it myself if it's not to complicated. I was told about a aux setting in the thermostat but never seen that on mine... Any help is greatly appreciated  thank you

set the fan speed to "auto" if you do not want the ac fan to run when the furnace comes on. use + or - to change when in fan mode.

As far as the model I believe R410A is the coolant in the AC unit.

IF the fan is on Lo or Hi, ONLY THE AC FAN RUNS AND NOT THE COMPRESSOR. So, the roof AC will NOT blow cold air, only the inside existing air temp will be blown. Doug
