Ac emergency

Hey guys and gals I'm hoping to get some help. My family and I are full time living in my 2006 Springdale while I travel around for work and our ac unit went out. Had someone come out and try to fix it but he was unable to fix it. I want to buy a brisk air 2 but I have a ducted system and I don't know what I need to buy. I keep finding them but with non ducted ceiling units. I really don't know anything about this stuff and don't want to order the wrong parts. Can I just buy the new roof unit and drop it in or do I need a whole new ceiling unit as well?

I agree with the mobile tec
I had ducted Carrier Air V's.. No longer made.. I now have two different makes.. We replaced JUST the rooftop unit (Mechanical parts) on one and both the roof and ceiling gred on the other.. The one still uses the original Carrier contgrols (The newest one has "Local" controls)

IN many cases the ducting uints are common make to make and you can replace. IN some cases you can "Adapt" a roof top unit to the existing lower/control unit as well.. That's how we did my bedroom.
  • Ducted or Non ducted has NO bearing on the roof top unit. You just buy your same brand roof top unit. You need just the roof top unit. You do NOT buy the Ducted or non ducted ceiling assbly. Doug
