It won't hurt anything to run it for a half an hour every 6 weeks or so but the best reason probably is to be sure it's still working.
If it's not and you don't find that out until it hits 90 degrees then it is slightly inconvenient.
If it's not and you don't find that out until it hits 90 degrees then it is slightly inconvenient.
