Two answers... On my Carrier Air V if I pull the filters and look up into the unit there is a label, On most A/Cs the label will likely be near here.
It shows the current draw of the A/C running 13.5 amps Same as the Advent Air unit that replaced my other Carrier Air V
13.5 * 120 =1620 WATTS. Add in the normal draw of the converter and such and you are pushing the limits of a Honda 2000i.
Second, that is RUNNING power.. It does not cover starting power.. Which may be higher,, (A soft start kit may help here).
Finally, I mentioned I have two different A/C. both of which draw 13.5 amps running, THe older Carrier is 13500 BTU, the newer Advent 15000.
