Yes, just fished the new wire through the ceiling area and down into the closet.

My 50 amp rig came with 2 A/Cs already. but when i am on a 30 amp site the REAR one is 'Split off' the RV (basically i put a plug and socket in the line and unplug it,, actually, that is exactly what I do) and hooked via 12ga wire to the parks' 20 amp outlet.. Saves me a lot of grief... Too bad it can not fix my engine.

years back my Bounder came with one AC, 13,500 I assume. added another one in the back bedroom, either 9500 or 11000 or thereabouts. wanted one that I could "sacrifice" when the current sucked, etc.

P.S. If you happen to have an older bounder that has to have the ceiling cut to access the wiring hookup location, be sure that they use a short saw blade in the saber saw so it doesn't cut a hole thru the roof. :s

I have posted pictures way back when of my old fiver with the second air installed but cant find them now.
I bought some #10 wire, a GE breaker box, a few 20 amp breakers and went to work. Using the front vent opening, I was able to fish the #10 wire over to a closet, (or bathroom), down through the closet ceiling, into the installed breaker box. Continued down into the roof of the roof of the basement then into some flex conduit over to the passenger side where I mounted a flush mount weather proof male plug on the exterior wall. When the second air was needed, I used a short #10 extension cord which supplied not only the A/C but another 120 volt outlet I wired to a different breaker allowing the wife to dry her hair while the microwave was on.

IF you have an RV with 50 amp cord, the odds are your bedroom is prewired. IF only 30 amp cord, then NO, it is not wired. If 30 amp, you then run a 12 gauge romex from the front vent thru the roof to the nearest cabinet and then down to the lower cabinet or storage area. You install a 20 amp breaker with another 30 amp shore cord. Usually, I use a marine type outside shore cord connection so you just attach the extra cord as needed as there is usually not available space to coil up a hard wired 30 amp cord. Doug
