I actually have one maybe two, giant switches. They are the ones used for switching between battery banks on boats. Three settings, labelled 1, 2 and Both. Similar to this. 300 amps or so (I can check if needed.)
My 24v equipment gets used away from the van, so it has to be detachable. Anderson connectors are designed to make hooking up with reverse polarity impossible, and I have some of them. They are 50amp/600v. (linky.pdf.) I also have some speakon connectors (male + female) that are 30amp continuous. Both kinds of connectors are cheap to get more.
I have no 12v RV wiring. I just use the house battery on inverter. This is not to say I might not GET some 12 appliance sometime, but right now it's not an issue. I need a new inverter anyway, so I could buy 12v or 24v. They seem to be similar in price.
