Ok, thanks. Does the sensor connect to the solar controller? If so, it too needs to be detachable on the 24v system.

If the 24v motor is small you may switch all batteries to 12v and power the motor direct through the 12/24 converter.
It's 2hp and ocassionally blows a 100amp breaker. And its use is primarily away from the rig.
