how many KwHrs per day is used
is that 500wattHrs and 500wattHrs equal 1 Kwhr
or is that 24v motor use 22amps = 500w when running, 3hrs of use would be 1.5Kwhrs
a 100w light bulb consumes 100w of power very instant, 6 hrs = 600 watt hrs
aka 0.6 KwHr
a 12amp circular saw uses 1440 watts when doing a heavy cut
your 77w freezer running non-stop for 24 hrs would consume approx 1900 watt hrs
aka 1.9KwHr
a 50% on-off duty cycles would consume 950 wattHrs aka 0.95 KwHr
A kill a watt meter gives you amps watts and KWhrs, if attached and left inline
you can get a 24hr or weekly period of total power consumption
14v at 5amps is 90w , 5 hr at 90w is 450 watt Hrs times (2)
means on a GOOD day you would harvest 0.9 KwHr using two solar panels but there are losses when recharging, and losses in what you siphon off during the day while using power
today has been overcast heavy marine layer, i have 505 watts of solar on the roof and a healthy 900 plus amp hr battery bank at 12.3v avg use that is 11,070 watt hrs total capacity till door nail dead,
at 50% DOD i have approx 5.5 KwHrs of stored power, this is with out de-rating for age
its 3:59 my solar collection/harvest for today 35 ampHrs 467.8 watt Hrs
I have the batteries approx 600# worth to handle this set back, and a generator to make up the difference if tomorrow does the same thing,
my fridge , TV lights, PC can run all night and if the sun don't shine enough tomorrow, i can run the generator
which i will at supper anyway and again in the morning for breakfast,
but even if it rained all day i would be ok, even though i use about three times the power per 24hrs than what my solar is making today
you need to know and express the daily power use correctly and understand ..really understand..what solar on a small install can NOT do, i would be happier IF my 505w was 1000w
maybe reading this thread will give you some more understanding of daily use batteries solar and genset work together
