Advised not to repack bearings???

I was going to mention this earlier but decided not to because.......the more I watch posts here the more I am convinced that many/most RV owners have to have SOMETHING to worry about and fiddle with. If it wasn't wheel bearings on a brand new trailer, then it would just be something else. :B
My family with young children was stuck roadside in the middle of Arizona in 102 degree temps for about 10 hours. Yes, I want to do my part to avoid that again. Nothing paranoid about it, just trying to be smart.
If you've had a failure on anything and don't investigate how to improve your chances...well...that would be the definition of foolish.
