And I agree with the Timken bearings and races changeout. They "Wrote The Book" on roller bearings. Chicago Rawhide used to make the best seals.
The bearing failure looks more like poor lubrication than brinneling, but since the quality of the steel is unknown it is impossible to assign the cause. I inspected the dimensions, angles and finishes of these Chinese bearings and found that nearly everything was out of tolerance. Yes, I did obtain the blueprints for the products. There was one that had a ridge on an inner race, probably caused by a breakdown of the grinding wheel.
The photo is just one, but all four outer bearings were beginning to fail. One inner bearing was the one mentioned above with the ridge. That bearing turned all the grease black and would have failed soon.
I tried to post the grease specs, but the forum will not let it happen. :M
